Though Yash Raj Films wanted to cast a fresh face for Dhoom 3, they were unable to find a suitable match for Aamir! Director Vijay Krishna Acharya, aka Victor, said in a press statement: “After almost a year of searching for a new face for Dhoom 3, we were still unable to find the perfect debutante to play the lead role. We even reached out to international talent but were still unable to find someone who stood out.”
“Once we decided to go with a known face and not pursue the newcomer route, Katrina was the obvious choice for all of us,” he added. Victor was all praises for Katrina Kaif and said she will bring a lot to Dhoom 3: “She is someone who we all know will bring tremendous enthusiasm and commitment to the film. The first time pairing of Aamir with Katrina will also certainly add value.”
Looks like Kareena Kapoor has some competition now! After all, Katrina Kaif will now be working with the Khan troika! She is working with Salman Khan in Ek Tha Tiger, with Shahrukh Khan in Yash Chopra’s next and with Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3!
