Sajid Khan has signed popular South actor Tamannaah Bhatia opposite Ajay Devgn in his version of the Jeetendra-Sridevi-starrer, Himmatwala. The word is that Sajid doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned to create the same magic of the original Himmatwala even if it requires him to make the same decisions.

And that’s why when Ajay suggested to sign a popular South Indian actor for the female lead, Sajid agreed instantly and Tamannaah came on board. The film will go on floors in August once Bol Bachchan has released and Son Of Sardar’s shooting is complete.
However, we’ve heard that the Tamannaah won’t be wielding a whip a la Sridevi; the most one can expect is to watch her boogie to Nainon mein sapna as Sajid wants to retain that song. Tamannaah may not have the chutzpah that Sridevi did, or the star’s infamous thunderous thighs. All she has is a song. Hopefully that will be enough to bring her the kind of fame Sri got from Himmatwala. What do you think?
